St. Patrick’s day is another special day. It occurs March 17th. Traditionally, people are supposed to wear green on this day. If you do not wear green, you might get pinched by some one. I went on a cruise with my sister. We left on St. Patrick’s day. I wore green and carried a green purse. I also wore green to dinner that night. It was a great Bon Voyage party. People also like to have Corned beef and cabbage , a traditional dish on this day. People go out and celebrate in an Irish pub, if possible. Ireland has lots of pubs. This is where you usually go out and have dinner. They serve lots of soup and bread. St. patrick’s day started with the legend of our Leprecaun friends. It is told that if you catch a leprecaun, you get three wishes. There is also a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, some legends say. So catch a leprecaun, if you can.
