Pho Quyen restaurant

Pho quyen is a Vietnamese restaurant in Pinellas Park,Fla. 4505 Park Blvd. It has some wonderful dishes. I have tried this one dish called-Ga-xao Rau Cai-Stir fried chicken with mixed veggies. It comes with a bowl of rice and this delicious sauce. I had them put fresh ginger on this. it was delicious. I had never been here before, so I really liked it. They have the food item written in Vietnamese first, then the American language. It makes it nice. You can know what you areeating in 2 different languages. I wish Springhill would get this place. So go and try Pho Quyen if you are ever in Pinellas Park. You will not be disappointed at all. I will try something else probably, when I go back sometime.

Grand Canyon

When we went to the Grand canyon, we went to grand canyon West. I want to see another part of the canyon. it was a 21 mile rocky road to get to a smooth road, which led to the park. It is the closest to Las Vegas. I would like to stay some where in another part of the Canyon, then spend time in Vegas. Our trip was great, till we caught colds. January is too cold to go. You need to go in the spring. Grand canyon was a nice time though. It has some beautiful scenery. There is a glass enclosed bridge out to the canyon. We did not go on that because we thought it cost too much after paying for the bus trip.

Winn Dixie meat deals

There were some great meat deals at Winn Dixie last night. There were a few buy one get one free deals. My friend bought some pork chops. They also had ribs on special. It is great when they have these specials.

Like everything else, meat is so expensive. You have to catch these great deals when they have plenty of them. They are usually a week long. Chip and I had found that same deal, with the pork chops. They were big chops too. We cooked them on the grill. Our apt. complex has a grill which we used. So,go to Winn Dixie for some meat deals. If you do not get in on this one, there will be many others.

Mint mocha coffee

Mint mocha flavored coffee is one of my favorite flavors. I like the taste of the mint in the coffee. You can get mint flavored coffee as well as mint flavored creamers. Liquid creamers are best though. The powdered creamer gets all lumpy. There are other delicious flavors such as Pumpkin spice. That is another delicious flavor. This is one of my sister’s favorite flavor also. I don’t always care for the cinnamon flavored coffees or coffee creamer. Mint mocha has a very smooth taste. Mint makes a lot of things taste very good.

2 canines to watch

I now have 2 canines running around this week.

I am watching a friend’s dog while she is on a

cruise. Annie was running around the first day.

I hope she settles down. She seemed happy to

be at my house though. Brandie gets excited,

but she is much more mellow. She is also 5

years older. They are friends though. They get

along. They are eating the other dogs food,

instead of their own. It will be wild to see how

this goes. All will be fine though. I am glad I was

able to watch Annie instead of her being boarded.

I do not want to do this to Brandie either. If a friend

can watch your pet, that is better.

Scary drivers

I have seen many scary drivers in the world where ever I have lived. People like to speed a lot. I don’t like it when people pass you and it looks like you will not have enough time to do this. People who drive too closely to you are scary too. When people see a yellow light, they especially like to speed up and try to make the light before it turns red. I have seen many accidents in all the areas I have lived. We have some bad sections in Springhill. Countyline and Mariner is a bad spot and so is Springhill Dr. and Mariner. I have even seen Life flight come and take some one away. We have traffic laws for a reason and it seems some people do not want to pay attention to those some times. Drinking and driving should not be happening, because it dulls your senses. Long conversations on cellphones can take away from driving also. Peope need to be careful out there.

Hectic schedules

Some people have very hectic work schedules. They work long hours and can not get much else done. Parents have these a lot. Between work and spending time with family, they keep very busy. If you have a long day, this can cause you to be under a lot of stress. Some schedules are bad when you don’t have time to do other things which you would like to do. Every one needs to just take time in their busy, hectic day to enjoy some of what life has to offer. There is a time for work and a time for play. There’s an old saying, “All work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy.” This can be very true. Take some time during your day to enjoy some thing that you like. Schedules are good when they keep us organized, but when they take over our lives, they are bad.

Anniversary cake

It was my parent’s anniversary, so my brother decided to make them an anniversary cake and surprise them with it. He put all the stuff together. When he had finished, he said he had messed up on decorating it. He threw it on the floor. I was there too, so he told me to clean it up. I said that I was busy with my friend. I left the house. He ended up cleaning the mess himself. When I came back about 2 hours later, I found a beautifully decorated cake. My parents were surprised and happy that Ken had done this for them. Healso di a great job at cleaning up the kitchen afterwards. He had made a yellow cake and put some cool decorations on it. He used to cook pancakes for us also. Ken was aboyscout for many years too. I think my mom helped him learn some cooking tips though.

Braces experience

I have had braces now for over three years. I am looking forward to the day that these come off. I want to see how all the wires were taking care of my teeth. I am looking forward to being able to eat without all of the wires. It has never really bothered me though. I have had some very minor discomfort, but this was rare. I had to go get checked on every 5 or 6 weeks. I got close to my Orthodontist and his assistants. I will still be going there when these come off because of wearing retainers. Hopefully, if you need braces, you can get them while you are young. Many adults do this today. i never minded the many appointments I had to go to. I wore many color combinations during this time. My time for removal is very soon. I can not wait. I am counting the days. I will still keep in touch with the ortho office, even after my release.

Chorus candy sale

In my Senior year in chorus we had a candy sale. We had to sell at least 2 cases of candy in order to get a reduction on our Disney tickets for our class trip. We were selling sugar daddies and M n m’s. There were 30 boxes in one case, which I sold in one day. Kids would come up to me and buy them from me. It took a week to sell 48 boxes of m n m’s. My sisterhelped out by buying one ach day. The candy sale was fun, but I was glad when it was over. We went to Disney and had a great time. I sold some more after selling my 2. Today, they don;t want kids going door to door. We did when we were growing up though
